Waterlogging has occurred in Talbunia Shelter Project of Sharankhola Upazila, eastern area of ​​Rayenda Bazar and various low lying areas of Southkhali including Bandhakata. Low-income people in these areas are in dire straits. Meanwhile, various areas of the district including Bagerhat municipal town have been submerged in rain water. Many unpaved roads have been submerged. Shrimp fences and pond fish have been washed away. Cropland has been submerged.
Besides, the water level of all rivers including Baleshwar in Sharankhola, Panguchi in Morelganj, Pashur in Mongla, Bhairab in Bagerhat and Daratana has increased by two to three feet above the normal tide.

Fish farmer Zahidur Rahman of Barashia Beel in Chitalmari Upazila said, “A few days ago, our house was submerged in the water of Yas. A lot of money was lost at that time. Now if the fence sinks again, we have to sit on the road. Md. Shafiqul Islam, Deputy Director, Department of Agricultural Extension, Bagerhat, said that the seedbed of Aus-Aman was submerged in water due to incessant rains in Bagerhat. The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours has been in Sharankhola upazila. The district also received an average rainfall of 93.66 mm. Meanwhile, Azad Kabir, officer-in-charge of Karamjal Wildlife Breeding Center, said the water level in the Sundarbans has risen by three to three and a half feet due to the full moon tide. There was one to one and a half feet of water on the paved road in the breeding center area. However, the water has started to decrease since morning, he said.
