66 journalists from Rajshahi received assistance from the Journalist Welfare Trust

Rajshahi Bureau: 66 journalists of Rajshahi received Tk. 10,000 as a gift from the Prime Minister during the Coronation. This financial assistance has been provided by Bangladesh Journalist Welfare Trust. The check for special financial assistance of the Prime Minister was distributed among the journalists in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner`s office on Wednesday morning.

Deputy Commissioner Abdul Jalil was the chief guest on the occasion. He said that the fact that the journalists received this assistance during the Coronation period proved that the government was keeping an eye on all sides. The government is working for everyone. Zafar Wazed, Managing Director of Bangladesh Journalists Welfare Trust, spoke on the occasion from Dhaka on a mobile phone. He said, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina cares about the welfare of journalists. The money given by her is being in this difficult time. Those who have not received yet they will also receive this assistance shortly.

Rajshahi Journalists Union (RUJ) president Rafiqul Islam presided over the check distribution function organized by the district administration. General Secretary Tanjimul Haque gave the welcome speech. Besides, RUJ vice-president Taibur Rahman also spoke. Among the assisted journalists, Shirin Sultana Keya expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
