Robbers Reckless in Meghna, 2 Fishermen Missing in Daulatkhan

MA. Aannam, Bhola: Robbers are rackless in Meghna during hilsa season. Even two fishermen of Daulatkhan area went missing in robbery. Besides, there have been several trawler robberies in this region.

On July 19, a trawler of Daulatkhan fell into the grief of robbers at the Tajumuddin area in Maghna.The robbers pirated money and kidnapped one of the fishermen for extorting  ransom. However, he was released on ransom in the next day. Until the time of writing this news, two fishermen, Rukman (55) and Kader (50), who jumped into the river to safe life, are still missing. Effort is being made to find them.

According to several boat and trawler owners, the pirats are reckless during the current hilsa season.

The owner of the looted trawler, Farhad Hosen Labu has logged a general diary which was confirmed by Bajlar Rahman, OC Daulatkhan Police Station.

Talking about the robbery, Lt.Tahsin Rahman of Bangladesh Coast Guard, South Zone, Bhola said, "Law will be imposed strictly to prevent the fishermen from the robbers." Our forces are always ready to protect them, he added.
