Jahangir Alam Manik, Sapahar: Abdullah Al Mamun, Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Sapahar, Naogaon, arranged to send the helpless old woman Geeta Rani to a safe shelter after treatment.
It is learned that Gita Rani, who was unidentified and mentally unbalanced, was rescued from an abandoned godown house at Paglar Mor in Sapahar Upazila on July 10. He was admitted to Sapahar Upazila Health Complex for treatment as he was physically ill. Abdullah Al Mamun, the Upazila`s Executive Officer (UNO), took charge of arranging his food, clothing, medical treatment and permanent address.
In this context, Gita immediately hired a local woman to take care of Rani. After 19 days of treatment, when Gita Rani agreed on Thursday, July 29, she was sent to the Government Children`s Family (Girls) in Naogaon. Abdullah Al Mamun, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, arranged for her to be sent to a government family (girl) with the aim of providing her with shelter, food and medical care, a safe haven and a better life. Abdullah Nir Mamun, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer, said that many mentally ill people have set a humane example by sending a mentally ill old woman to a new address. So that Gita Rani is assured of a good way to spend her life in a safe place till the end of her life.
Incidentally, for a long time he lost his mental balance and wandered around in different areas. So far no one was able to send in the perfect solution, which is not strange. However, it is known that the people of the area knew her by the name of Gita Rani.
Asked about this to Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Abdullah Al Mamun, he said there are government children`s families (girls) in every district. Officially, there is accommodation, food and medical care for 10 adults with little girls. I found out about the investigation in Naogaon that there are less than 10 people there. Due to this, there was an opportunity to keep Gita Rani there.
