2 robbers caught by mob: Handed over to the police

Faysal Azam Apu, Chapainawabganj: Two robbers have been arrested in connection with a robbery at the Koylabari truck terminal on the Chapainawabganj-Sonamasjid highway. The incident took place around 5:30 am on July 31. According to the locals, a group of robbers detained a mango trader at around 5.30 am, beat him up and snatched his money and mobile phone. At that time, when people rushed to chase the robbers, two robbers were caught by the mob. The rest fled. The two robbers arrested were Golam Rabbani, son of Fazlu alias Fazlu of Koylabari village and Mohammad Jhaiton, son of Mohammad Gavur. They were handed over to Shibganj police station. Shibganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Farid Hossain said necessary legal action was being taken against the robbers.
