Syed Ali Gilani in itself was a movement, says Prof Butt

International Desk: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader, Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, has paid glowing tribute to veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, who passed away on Wednesday night in Srinagar under detention.

Professor Abdul Ghani Butt addressing a condolence meeting in Srinagar said that Syed Ali Gilani in itself was a movement who made great services and sacrifices for the freedom movement all along his life.

He said, Gilani sahib always remained steadfast towards the Kashmir cause, adding that his services for the movement are laudable and will always be remembered in freedom struggle of Kashmir. He said, Gilani sahib was an inspirational leader, particularly for the youth of Kashmir.

He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give strength to the people to remain steadfast for the Kashmir cause.
