JaPa Secretary General Bablu dies

Online Desk : Jatiya Party (JaPa) Secretary General Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu has passed away.

He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital at 9:12am on Saturday .

Confirming the death to, JaPa Chairman’s Press Secretary Khandaker Delwar Jalali said Bablu was infected with Coronavirus on September 6.

He was also suffering from asthma and heart problems, it is learnt.

His namaz-e-janaza will be held after Isha prayers at Gulshan Azad Mosque. He will be buried at Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals’ Graveyard afterwards.

According to the source, Bablu recently took part in electioneering in favour of the JaPa candidate in the Sylhet-3 by-election held on September 4. He fell ill after his return to Dhaka from Sylhet and then took the Corona test.

He was first admitted to the Labaid Hospital in Dhanmondi and later taken to the Intensive Care Unit of Bangladesh Specialized Hospital where he died today.
