Online Report : BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been taken to Evercare Hospital at Gulshan in the capital for health check-up, said party`s secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

Fakhrul said: "Time may be needed to test the liver functions of Khaleda Zia. So, the BNP Chairperson is likely to stay at the hospital for one to two days."

Khaleda Zia reached Evercare Hospital ay 4:00pm on Tuesday. At that time, the party leaders and activists thronged the hospital.

Earlier, the BNP Chairperson left her Gulshan residence `Firoza` at about 3:45pm by a car for Evercare Hospital.

Khaleda Zia was earlier admitted to Evercare Hospital after she contracted the Coronavirus. After giving sample on April 10 last, she tested positive for the deadly virus on April 11. On the following day, she was taken to the same hospital for her CT scan. After receiving treatment at the hospital, she returned to home on June 19. She has already received two doses of Covid-19 vaccine.

The 76-year-old Khaleda Zia has long been suffering from various diseases including diabetes. The post-Covid complications have added to these. Because of it, she needs health check-up with regular intervals.
