Online Report : A student of Notre Dame College was killed when a garbage truck of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) ran over him at Gulistan area in the city on Wednesday morning.

Deceased Nayeem Hasan, 18, succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on arrival.

Pedestrian Abdullah Al Noman, who took Nayeem to the DMCH, said a DSCC truck hit the teenager while crossing a road at Gulistan Hall Chattar at about 11:30am.

Confirming the matter, the DMCH police outpost in-charge Md Bachchu Mia said the body was kept at the hospital morgue and police are trying to know details of the deceased.
