Notre Dame students announce to continue demo

Online Desk : A group of students of Notre Dame College continued their demonstration programme for the second consecutive day on Thursday over the death of their fellow Nayeem Hasan in the road crash.

They demanded a fair trial in the incident and also announced to continue their agitation until their demand is not met.

According to the source, 300-400 students of the college started their agitation at Shapla Chattra in the capital’s Motijheel from 11:30am. Later, they went to Gulistan and held a rally there. Hence, the movement of the vehicles was suspended on both sides of the road.

On Wednesday, Notre Dame College student Nayeem was critically injured after being hit by a DSCC garbage truck while he was crossing the road.

Later, he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on the duty doctor declared him dead.

Police seized the truck and arrested its drive.

Nayeem’s father Shah Alam filed a case in the incident.
