Rayhan Ahmed, Mymensingh: At the initiative of the Department of Environment, Mymensingh District Office, the Department of Environment, under the leadership of Mr. Rubel Mahmud, Deputy Director, Mymensingh Divisional Office and wise Executive Magistrate, conducted mobile courts in 5 illegal brickfields in Mymensingh City Corporation area. Among them, M/s. Mannan Enterprise was fined Tk 300,000, Zaman Bricks Tk 300,000, M/S MTI Bricks Tk 300,000, M/S Shapla Bricks Tk 500,000 and M/S. Sony Star Bricks Tk 300,000.

Mr. Md. Alamgir Hossain, Assistant Director, Department of Environment, Mymensingh District Office acted as the prosecutor in the said mobile court. Mr. Mihir Lal Sardar, Deputy Director, Department of Environment, Mymensingh District Office was present and Mymensingh District Police provided security and assistance. During the operation of the mobile court, the brick kiln owners were instructed to stop illegal brick kilns. Such operations against illegal brick kilns will continue.
