Faysal Azam Apu, from Chapainawabganj: Police have recovered the body of a worker named Morshalin (19) five months after his burial at Gomstapur in Chapainawabganj.

The body was exhumed from NanihataGovernmentCemetery in Laxminarayanpur village of Boalia Union on Friday morning in the presence of Executive Magistrate Ashish Mumtaz and OC of Gomstapur Police Station Selim Raza. Morshalin is the son of Shukur Uddin of that village.

Sources in the case said that on August 15 last year, on his way home from Morsalin Ghatnagar Bazar, he was allegedly killed in a house under construction next door. That night the killers killed him and left him hanging in the bedroom with a rope.

Morshalin`s mother Sirina Begum filed a murder case in the Chapainawabganj court against five people, with Morshalin`s wife Champa Khatun as the main accused. The case was handed over to Gomstapur police for investigation. Police have so far failed to arrest any of the accused.

Gomstapur Police Station OC Investigation Selim Reza Morshalin`s body was taken to the court for re-autopsy and the wise court allowed the body to be removed.

Rafiqul Islam, the uncle of the deceased, said that the deceased had killed Morshalin and left him hanging in the bedroom of his house. Mud marks were found on the clothes worn on his body. Signs of a brawl were found inside the bathroom of a building under construction next door when he was killed. There was also a towel and rope lying there. And his wife confessed that she had killed her husband and left him hanging. Investigating officer of the case OC Investigation Selim Reza said that the court ordered to remove the body on the request of the plaintiff and the body was sent to the morgue for autopsy as per the instructions of the court.
