People won`t accept Awami League’s rehabilitation: Jamaat Ameer
  Date : 21-03-2025

The people of Bangladesh will not accept any attempt to rehabilitate the Awami League, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman said on Friday.

In a Facebook post, the Jamaat leader wrote that Bangladesh is passing through a critical juncture in its history, reports UNB.

"After a long period of fascist rule, the nation received a new Bangladesh as a gift from Almighty Allah on July 36, 2024. For this, we offer countless thanks to our Almighty Allah," he added.

He also claimed that the fallen fascists, both inside and outside, are trying to destabilise the nation.

In his post, Shafiqur Rahman said that the demand of Bangladesh`s 18 crore oppressed people is the trial of those responsible for the genocide, the rehabilitation of the families of the martyrs of 2024, proper medical treatment for the numerous injured, disabled students, youths, and freedom-seeking individuals, and fundamental reforms to address the mess created over the past 15 years in order to prepare for a fair election.

At this moment, people want to see the genocide trial on a priority basis. There is no room for thinking about anything else beyond this.

The Jamaat leader urged people from all walks of life to remain restrained, vigilant, and united, rising above party affiliations to play a responsible role in the country`s larger interest.
