Tarique Rahman is a shining example in restoring freedom and democracy : Rita

Kamrul Hasan : For 17 years, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has been a shining example in protecting people from the oppression and torture of dictators and restoring the country`s independence, constitution and democracy, said Afroza Khanam Rita, a member of the advisory board of the BNP Chairperson and convener of the district BNP.

On Tuesday evening, on the occasion of the 47th founding anniversary of BNP, the district JASAS organized a pleasant cultural program, songs and drama in the light of the 31 points of repairing the state structure announced by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
He made this comment addressing the party leaders, activists, supporters, general voters and local people present during the speech of the chief guest.

He said, Martyr President Ziaur Rahman called for independence to save the country and its people from oppression and repression. On his call, the people of Bengal, regardless of religion or caste, jumped into the liberation war. The Bangladesh of the red and green flag was achieved in the court of the world. Therefore, everyone must forget all differences and work together for the welfare of the country.

He said, due to the prudence and foresight of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, the dictator was forced to leave the country in the face of the mass movement of BNP-students-people on August 5, 2014. A fascism-free country was achieved. To keep this achieved victory intact, to fulfill the long-awaited expectations of the people is extremely important to protect the constitution and democracy.

For this, it is absolutely necessary to implement the election at the right time. The national election must be implemented in the first half of next February. If this is not done, he is of the opinion that the interim government may be held accountable.

He said, the country is in a state of crisis today. Elections are the only right and beneficial solution. Fascist Hasina`s banned Awami League has started to raise its head. They are creating anarchy across the country to disturb public life through various sabotage plots. These evil forces are never beneficial for the country and the nation. A united public opinion must be built to resist these evil forces.

To ensure the victory of the rice ears in every constituency of Manikganj, known as the base of BNP, everyone must play a leading role in strengthening the organizational structure, including the 31-point campaign and implementation of the state structure repair announced by BNP Acting Chairman Deshnayak Tarique Rahman.

He advised leaders and activists at all levels to dedicate themselves for the welfare of the country, increase party work activities, and seek everyone`s prayers for the speedy recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia, good health and longevity of Tarique Rahman.

At this time, District BNP Convening Committee Advocate A.F.M. Nurtaz Alam Bahar PP, Golam Abedin Kaiser, ASM Iqbal Hossain, Golam Kibria Sayeed, Nasir Uddin Ahmed Jadu, Abdus Salam Badal, Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Habu, Advocate Zahir Alam Khan Lodi, Manikganj Press Club President Jahangir Alam Biswas, District Jubo Dal Joint Convener Mohammad Masud Parvez, District Women`s Dal President Sabiha Habib, District Volunteer Dal Convener Advocate Jinnah Khan, Mayor Women`s Dal President Ayesha Akhter, District Chhatra Dal President Abdul Khalek Shuvo, General Secretary Sirazur Rahman Khan Sajib and other leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliates were present.
