The big challenge is to protect yourself in Corona
  Date : 25-04-2024

Advocate Md. Rayhan Ali: Corona virus is an unknown, deadly virus. The whole world is devastated by the outbreak of this virus. First of all, it is possible to deal with this virus unarmed. Although a lot of research and long efforts have been made to make the vaccine, it does not work after a few days due to the change in the type of the virus. Finally, after much effort and research, scientists have come up with vaccines from various companies to prevent it. The efficiency of different vaccines varies from company to company. The biggest vaccine is to follow the health rules announced by the World Health Organization (WHO). In December 2019, the world`s first corona patient was diagnosed in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. The first death in Corona occurred in China. Then the deadly virus started spreading very fast in different countries of the world. To address the situation, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a state of emergency on January 20, 2020. But since that did not improve, the WHO finally declared Corona an epidemic on March 11 of that year. The spread of this virus started all over the world. In our country, on March 7, 2020, the government`s Institute of Pathology, Disease Control and Research reported for the first time that three people have been infected with coronavirus in Bangladesh. From that day onwards, we started monitoring the virus. In our country, like other countries, the number of infections and deaths is increasing. We are also beginning to abide by the government-announced hygiene rules and are waiting for the desired vaccine to get rid of this virus, waiting for normal life. Finally, thanks to the long efforts of Hon`ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, we got the coveted vaccine from abroad. On January 26, 2021, at 3:30 pm, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the vaccination program, after which she received her first vaccination. Runu Veronica Costa, a senior staff nurse at Kurmitola GeneralHospital, has started a coronavirus vaccination program in Bangladesh with a single dose of vaccine. The vaccine he was given as a frontliner was invented by Oxford-AstraZeneca, and was developed at the Serum Institute in India under the brand name Kovishield. Runu Veronica Costa, a senior staff nurse who received the country`s first corona (Covid-19) vaccine, told reporters after receiving the vaccine: In this way we will all try to make the country tax free. When the coronavirus came to the country, it seemed like a war. I have been able to win that war for a long time by following the rules of health. Now we see another hope, the vaccine. "

In his budget speech in the parliament, the finance minister announced a roadmap for vaccinating 80 per cent of the country`s people. He said 2.5 million people would be vaccinated every month. According to the latest census, the population of Bangladesh is 15 crore 25 lakhs. But in reality this population will be more than 16 crores. If that calculation is taken into account, the population of 16 crore is 80 percent which is 13 crore 60 lakhs. Now if 2.5 million people of this population are vaccinated every month then it will take more than four and a half years to vaccinate all of them. In the meantime, if children are vaccinated, then 100% of the citizens will have to be vaccinated.

Vaccination began in Bangladesh on February 8, 2021. The government has continued vaccination activities. Student vaccination activities have already started. Vaccination of two ninth grade students of MotijheelIdealSchool in the capital marked the beginning of a new chapter in the coronavirus vaccination program in the country. Education Minister Dipu Moni and Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek inaugurated the vaccination program for students between the ages of 12 and 18. In her address to the nation, Hon`ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "So far 129.56 million doses of vaccine have been given. Booster doses have been given since last month. At present we have more than 90 million doses of vaccines in stock".

We are not seeing Corona anew like before; we are seeing Corona`s horror, cruelty, and cruelty. Corona`s cruelty we may never have seen, the whole world today is silent, speechless, stunned, shocked. We have seen the death of corona patients in hospitals or in the media.

Relatives will be a ruthless witness to the history of how the corpses of those who died in Corona in self-defense were left behind in the hospital or in the fields, on the docks, in the bushes and in the darkness of the night. Even though no one wanted to do so, many have done such heinous deeds despite their reluctance to defend themselves against Covid-19. Seeing all this cruelty, inferiority, it seemed as if humanity was gone from the world! In fact, humanity has not gone away. How can people in this Corona war? Nothing is possible without the grace of the Creator. The older Corona variant was further modified to be called `Delta variant` in India and later to be called `Delta Plus` but it is several times more transmissible than the old variant. It is known to have spread to at least 70 countries. Naturally, the world lost its way to handle Corona and Delta variants are emerging in it again. Nastanabudei can be said. Meanwhile, the more powerful corona variant Omicron is once again terrorizing the world. The whole world is taking measures to deal with it from their respective positions. In the meantime, patients with Omicron have also been found in our country. Again the number of corona patients is increasing day by day. In this way, if the rate of corona infection continues to increase, the normal life of the country may be stopped again.

Now the question is - how do we deal with Corona? The number of people who are reluctant to take the corona vaccine is much lower now. Because we are seeing the outbreak of corona. Now we must all collectively adhere to the guidelines announced by the World Health Organization (WHO) on corona. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. The third wave of corona must be dealt with comprehensively through vaccination and proper hygiene. We have to be vigilant to protect ourselves from this danger without waiting for the public awareness of the government administration. Life is yours

Your family, your health plays a role in maintaining the health of many or you are responsible. That is why in this difficult moment you will be protected first. You will urge others to follow the rules of hygiene by making others aware of the dangers of corona. Let`s get vaccinated quickly by those who have not yet been vaccinated to avoid corona as well as encourage others to get vaccinated. With the passage of time, the biggest challenge in corona epidemic is to protect you by following all the guidelines declared by the World Health Organization (WHO).
