30 women get Mobile Journalism Fellowship in Rajshahi

Liakut Hossain, Rajshahi: 30 women received Mobile Journalism Fellowship. The Center for Communication and Development of Mass Communication and Development of Media in Bangladesh since 1999 has been very successful in enhancing the professional skills of local media workers and journalists, enhancing the capacity of local and regional and community media, developing public journalism and promoting alternative media, continuing to implement. Following this, CCD Bangladesh and Radio Padma 99.2 FM have jointly provided mobile journalism training and fellowships to young women from March to October last year. On this occasion, distribution of certificates was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner on Thursday afternoon. Deputy Commissioner Abdul Jalil handed over the certificates to the women as the chief guest at a function presided over by the chairperson of Jnancharcha Kendra CCD Bangladesh Waliur Rahman Babu. Additional Deputy Commissioner Shariful Islam, Professor of Mass Communication and Journalism of Rajshahi Universityl Mashihur Rahman and Acting Editor of Daily Sonar Desh Akhbarul Hasan Millat spoke as special guests. GMD Murtuza, Director, CCD Bangladesh and Shahana Parveen, Station Manager, Radio Padma spoke on the occasion. Thirty women took part in the training under the Women for Women project.
