Seba Prokashoni`s Kazi Anwar Hossain dies

News Desk : Founder of Seba Prokashoni and mystery novelist Kazi Anwar Hossain has passed away. He was 86.

He breathed his last at around 4:40 pm on Wednesday at BIRDEM General Hospital in the capital of Dhaka.

His daughter-in-law Masuma Maimur confirmed the matter.

In a Facebook post, she said he was diagnosed with prostate cancer on October 31 last year and hospitalized five times.

"It`s all over after a brain stroke and a heart attack. He had been on life support since January 10, and today he left us (died)," she wrote.

Kazi Anwar Hossain made the mystery-thriller story popular to the readers of Bangladesh through his publication.

He wrote numerous stories in `Bidyut Roy`, and `Shamsuddin Nawab` pseudonym.

Son of renowned mathematician and litterateur late Kazi Motaher Hossain, he was born on July 19, 1936.
