HC directs to hang fare chart at all bus stands

Online Desk : The High Court (HC) has directed to hang the fare chart at all bus and mini bus stands across the country by one month.

An HC bench comprising by Justice Mamunur Rahman and Khondakar Diliruzzaman passed the order issuing a rule during a hearing on a writ petition filed in this regard.

The HC also directed the Bangladesh Road Transport Authorities (BRTA) to take effective measures for not charging extra fare.

Road Transport and Bridges Secretary, Assistant Secretary, BRTA Chairman and Directors were made respondents to the rule.

Earlier on January 4, Supreme Court lawyer Md Abu Taleb filed the writ petition.
