President mourns death of AL MP Israfil

News Desk: President Abdul Hamid on Monday expressed profound shock at the death of Awami League lawmaker from Naogaon-6 constituency Israfil Alam. He passed away at a city hospital early morning. In a message, the President said he entered the political arena through the labour politics. He always spoke about the rights of the hard-living common people in the Jatiya Sangsad (parliament).

“At his (Israfil) death, country lost a promising and dedicated political leader,” Abdul Hamid also said.

Israfil Alam, also the joint secretary of Naogaon district unit ruling Awami League. He was elected parliament member from Nagaon-6 (Atri-Raninagar) constituency for three times.
