Chandpur Science and Technology University Bill passed

Parliament Correspondent: The Chandpur Science and Technology University bill, 2020 was passed in the Jatiya Sangsad on Wednesday. Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni moved the bill and it was passed in voice votes with Deputy Speaker Deputy Speaker Fazle Rabbi Mia in the chair.
Placing the bill, she said the endorsement of the bill will help to establish a university and the country will progress in line with the policy by the government to establish a digital Bangladesh.
Department of Secondary and Higher Education under the Ministry of Education will take an initiative to establish a Science and Technology University in Chandpur district under the directives of the Prime Minister, according to the bill.

Besides, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University Kishoreganj Bill, 2020 was also passed in the House.
