Want to take the challenge to hold free, fair elections: CEC

Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal has said that the Election Commission want to take the challenge of holding free, fair and peaceful elections.

"The crisis in the election is the crisis of trust. We want to take the challenge of free, fair and peaceful polls."

The CEC said this while inaugurating a training workshop at the Election Training Institute (ETI) in Agargaon on Sunday (October 1).

"The current EC is under pressure from the 2014 and 2018 election controversies. For this, the responsibility of the commission has increased," Habibul Awal said.
