Former SAFF winner Razia dies after childbirth

Online Report : Razia Khatun, former national women`s team footballer, died of childbirth complications at her resident in Satkhira at the age of 23.

A press release of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) said Razia breathed her last at 4am due to excessive bleeding after child birth.

In a message of condolence, BFF president Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin, its senior vice present, vice presidents, all executive members, general secretary, standing committee and officials and employees of the BFF expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Razia.

They also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Meanwhile, Razia took part in Bangladesh squad that won SAFF Under-18 Women`s Championship in Bhutan in 2018.

She also played the final round of the AFC Under-16 Women`s Championship in Thailand in 2017.
