Online Report : Bangladesh experienced batter Mushfiqur Rahim has been ruled out of the Test series against Sri Lanka due to a finger injury.
He got the injury while playing in the third ODI against Sri Lanka at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Monday.
Bangladesh Cricket Board confirmed the matter in a press release on Tuesday.
"There is a fracture on the thumb of his (Mushfiq) right hand. He is now undergoing observation. It is assumed that he will have to be out of the ground for four weeks. As a result, he cannot play against Sri Lanka in the Test series," said Bayezid Khan, physio of the national team.
