Siblings killed in M`singh bus-microbus collision, parents injured

Online Desk : A teenage girl and her brother died and their parents were injured in a collision between a bus and a microbus in Mymensingh`s Tarakanda upazila on Sunday.

The accident took place around 8 am at Tarakanda Dakshin Bazar in front of Zaman filling station on the Sherpur-Mymensingh road.

The deceased were Mashura Mokaddes Tanas, 15, daughter of Mokaddes Rahman Torab and Monira Begum, hailed from Char Shimulchara village under Sribardi upazila in Sherpur district, and her brother Anas Ahnaf, 3.

Police said a bus of `Mithun Super` was going to Gowatla in Dhobaura upazila from Dhaka. On the way, it collided a microbus coming from the opposite direction in that area. The siblings who were passengers of the microbus died on the spot and three people including their parents were injured.


Later, police recovered the body and sent the three injured to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

Tarakanda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Wazed Ali confirmed the news.

OC Wazed said, two vehicles have been seized. Legal action is pending in this regard.
