All activities of pry schools to be normal from Tuesday

Online Report : All academic activities of primary schools will become normal from Tuesday (May 7).

The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education issued a circular, signed by Senior Information Officer Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin, on Monday.

It said from Tuesday all activities, including class activities of all government primary schools, primary schools of Shishu Kalyan Trust and learning centers of the non-formal education bureau, will continue according to the calendar of the academic year 2024.

Primary schools were reopened on April 28 after being closed for a week due to heatwave.

However, the closure was extended due to continuous heatwave.

On May 5, primary schools reopened with some directives by the ministry to accommodate the challenging circumstances.

Class hours were reduced, and assemblies, the daily gatherings integral to school life, were temporarily suspended to safeguard the well-being of students.

As the rain providing relief from the intense heat, schools are now in a position to revert to their regular timetables.
