11 shops burnt in B`baria fire

At least 11 shops were gutted in a devastating fire broke out at Sarail upazila in Brahmanbaria district on Friday.

The incident took place early in the morning in the second gate area of Shahbazpur Union of the upazila.

Sarail Fire Service Leader Riaz Mahmud said two units of Sarail Fire Service brought the fire under control. However, 11 shops were burnt in the meantime. There were various shops including hardware, salon, mobile sales and servicing.

He also said the fire is seemed to have started from an electrical short circuit. The loss is at least Tk 15 lakh in the fire.
