Not only the ordinary citizens, but also the Awami League`s `so-called` members of parliament are not safe in `friendly country` India, said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam.
He made the remark to journalists after attending a joint meeting at the BNP central office at Nayapaltan in the capital on Wednesday (May 22) afternoon.
Meanwhile, the missing Jhenidah-4 member of parliament and Kaliganj Upazila Awami League president Anwarul Azim Anar`s body was recovered from a flat in Kolkata.
Mirza Fakhrul also said there might be corruption or any other reasons behind the murder of MP Anar.
Regarding the sanction imposed by the United States on former army chief General (Retd) Aziz Ahmed, Mirza Fakhrul said: "This sanction is shameful for the nation. The government is solely responsible for it. The US imposed sanction due to unlawful use of army. If the army is undermined due to the government, people of Bangladesh would never accept it."
Mirza Fakhrul also said the government is a major problem for the nation. They have destroyed the soul of the entire nation. They have sold out the entire country.
