Experts sound alarm on impending genocide of Muslims in India
  Date : 17-09-2024

Online Desk: Political analysts and experts are warning of a dangerous escalation of Muslim persecution in India under the Modi regime. Since Modi assumed office, the intensity of attacks on Muslims has surged, with Hindutva activists continuously targeting the community with impunity.
Notably, the analysts said, the 2020 Delhi riots, which claimed the lives of over 50 Muslims, and the recent bulldozing of Muslim homes in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, are stark examples of this growing violence.
Muslims in India face threats, harassment, and violence, with frequent demolitions of their homes and places of worship, particularly in states governed by the BJP. The RSS-backed BJP regime promotes Hindu supremacy, leading to discrimination against Muslims in all spheres of life. The Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) have further exacerbated this discrimination, leaving millions of Muslims vulnerable to disenfranchisement.
Islamophobia has taken a lethal form in India, with Hindutva leaders openly calling for mass killings and violence against Muslims. The hate speech by BJP leaders, such as Giriraj Singh and Kapil Mishra, has emboldened Hindutva activists to carry out attacks on Muslims.
Experts warn of an impending genocide of Muslims in India, posing a significant challenge to the global community.
They urged international community, including the UN, to take immediate steps to stop hate crimes against Muslims in India. The rising attacks on Muslims are a clear indication of the growing influence of Hindutva ideologies, which pose a significant threat to global peace and security.
“The situation is alarming, and the world cannot afford to turn a blind eye to the atrocities committed against Muslims in India,” said a political analyst.
