Committee to turn Ganabhaban into museum to be formed by Sunday: Asif

Youth and Sports adviser Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan has said a committee will be formed by Sunday with architects and museum experts to turn Ganabhaban into the `July Uprising Memorial Museum`.

"Will start inauguration work soon," he said after visiting Ganabhaban on Saturday (September 7).

Earlier on Thursday, the interim government took the decision to turn Ganabhaban into the `July Uprising Memorial Museum` to preserve the memories of genocide happened in the month of July this year.

Asif Mahmud, "Ganabhaban to be freed for the public. It will be made `July Uprising Memorial Museum` to preserve the memories of the genocide that happened in the month of July.

Informing that the processing to build up a museum will start soon, Asif said, "The Ganabhaban will be kept in the condition it is in, the way the people have kept it. A museum will be built up inside it."

Information and Broadcasting adviser Nahid Islam and Industry Ministry adviser Adilur Rahman Khan were also visited Ganabhaban with Asif Mahmud.
