Raihan Rafi’s father passes away

Film director and screenwriter Raihan Rafi’s father, Siraj Uddin Chowdhury, has passed away. He breathed his last at 2:34 am on Monday while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital in the capital.

Rafi`s friend, Sabbir Ahmed Sohan, confirmed the news to news, stating that Siraj Uddin will be buried in their family graveyard in Sylhet.

Due to old age, Siraj Uddin had been suffering from various illnesses for a long time. However, his health deteriorated in recent months.

It is noteworthy that Raihan Rafi’s directorial debut was Poramon 2, featuring Siam Ahmed and Puja Cherry in the lead roles. The film won four Meril Prothom Alo Awards, including Best Film Actor and Best Film Actress.
