  Date : 24-02-2025

Law Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul stated that the interim government is working relentlessly to improve the law and order situation across the country.

"We lack no sincerity in our efforts to improve the law and order situation and fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people," he said while talking to the newsmen prior to attending a workshop here today.

The Ministry of Home Affairs organized the workshop titled "Law Enforcement with Emphasis on Human Rights and Environment in the Country`s Changed Situation" at the conference hall of the Primary Teachers Institute.

Inspector General of Police Baharul Alam, Attorney General Muhammad Asaduzzaman and Chief Prosecutor of International Crime Tribunal Tazul Islam were present on the occasion.

The Law Adviser said the present government has been working with some devastated institutions, particularly the police force, in the new Bangladesh.

"We have been working with sincerity and honesty to improve the situation, but it could not be possible as scores of issues are involved," he added.

"Apart from this, conducting administrative works in the post-uprising period is not easy."

Asif Nazrul said the cohorts of the fascist governemnt are trying to destabilize the law and order situation by spending crores of money. Although some of the cohorts of fascism fled the country, their lion portion remained in the country. "We are looking into the matter," he mentioned.

Referring to the present judicial system, the law adviser said steps have been taken to adopt proper action against those who were involved in crimes. Directives will also be given so that innocent people do not face harassment.
