The condition of the eight-year-old girl from Magura, who is currently fighting for her life at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, has worsened, according to a statement from the Chief Adviser`s Press Secretary on Wednesday.
"We are deeply saddened to report that her health has further declined today," said Shafiqul Alam, the Press Secretary, while urging the public to pray for her recovery.
Alam, speaking at a media briefing at the Foreign Service Academy, also shared that her CGS (cardiogenic shock) level had dropped from four to three. This condition, which indicates severe heart failure, is a critical medical concern.
In addition, Alam revealed that the girl`s brainstem and pupil reflexes had weakened further since Tuesday, intensifying concerns about her health.
The medical team at CMH is continuing to make every effort to save her, Alam confirmed.
The child was first admitted to Magura General Hospital before being transferred to Faridpur Medical College Hospital due to the worsening of her condition. On Thursday, she was moved to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) before being transferred to CMH for specialized care.
The media briefing was attended by Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, Senior Assistant Press Secretary Foyez Ahammad, and Assistant Press Secretary Suchismita Tithi. News : Daily Observer
