UN chief meets CA

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres met Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus at the Chief Adviser`s Office in Dhaka on Friday.

After the meeting, both Yunus and Guterres will travel to Cox’s Bazar on a commercial Biman flight to visit the Rohingya camps.

Guterres arrived in Dhaka on Thursday for a four-day official visit at the invitation of Dr Yunus. He was received by Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

During his stay, Guterres will meet with Bangladesh’s top leaders to discuss critical issues, including the Rohingya crisis, climate change mitigation, progress on the Sustainable Development Goals, and strengthening UN-Bangladesh cooperation.
