4 ansars deployed at each launch for security during Eid time

The authorities have deployed four ansar members at each launch to ensure security during Eid-ul-Fitr. They will on duty another two days after Eid.

Md Shadat Hossain, public relation officer of the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), confirmed this on Sunday.

Meanwhile, speedboat during night time and bulkhead in 24 hours will not be permitted to operate from March 26 to April 5.

Bangladesh Navy will also to patrol beside coast guard and naval police in Shitalakshya, Gozaria, Meghna rivers and all crime-prone areas.
