64 More Deaths Reported, WFP Warns of Immediate Food Needs in Gaza
  Date : 19-04-2025

International Desk : At least 64 Palestinians were killed in Gaza on Friday morning as Israeli forces continued their attacks. Residential buildings, tent camps, and a salon were reportedly destroyed in the strikes, according to Al Jazeera.

Smoke plumes were seen rising over the Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza following the bombardments.

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has stated that "food is needed now in Gaza" as hundreds of thousands of people are facing starvation. The WFP added that the Israeli blockade is preventing food aid from entering the territory.

Al Jazeera`s correspondent in Gaza reports that the ongoing attacks and food shortages have caused a mental breakdown among the population.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry`s calculation, more than 51,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 100,000 injured in the 18-month-long Israeli operation. However, the Gaza government`s media office claims that the actual death toll has exceeded 61,700, with many people still trapped under the rubble.

It is worth noting that on October 7, 2023, a Hamas attack in Israel resulted in the deaths of 1,139 people and the abduction of over 200 individuals.
