New 65 dengue patients hospitalized

(BSS) - A total of 65 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours.

Of the new cases, 34 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division (out of city corporation), five in Chattogram (out of city corporation), two in Dhaka division (out of city corporation), eight in Dhaka north city corporation and 10 in Dhaka south city corporation,

One in Khulna Division, one in Rangpur Division and four were admitted to different hospitals in Mymensingh division, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), said in a press release today.

With the latest figures, the total number of dengue case in the country this year has risen to 3,264. So far, 21 deaths from the mosquito-borne disease have been reported in 2025.

During the 24-hour period, 47 patients were released after receiving treatment. According to DGHS data, Bangladesh recorded 101,214 dengue cases and 575 deaths in 2024.
