which is scheduled to be celebrated on December 16.
In the message of greetings, the premier said: “Assalamualaikum, I
am Sheikh Hasina. I am extending my best wishes to you on the occasion of the Victory Day.”

“We have achieved independence through 24-year long struggle and
the Great War of Liberation led by our great leader, the greatest
Bangali of all time, the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman,” she said.

Sheikh Hasina went on saying: “Coronavirus has wrecked havoc on our life for the most, but after that, I extended my greetings to you.”
The premier said, “I urged all of you to celebrate the Victory Day
following the health guidelines.”

“We admire the sacrifice of millions of martyrs through turning
Bangladesh into a developed, prosperous, hunger and poverty-free and
non-communal Bangladesh,” she added.
