I saw a girl who was neglected by her society;
Rejected by many families from village and city,
Because of her short height, dark complexion;
Because of her father had not much in his possession
I saw a girl being criticized by all
For not being able to get married at an early age;
For having pimples on her face,
Nobody cared that she can get hurt,
All felt ashamed recognizing her as their part.
I saw her being strong and making her own way;
Saw her to smile pushing tears away,
I saw her being accepted by renowned university,
Saw acquiring happiness by herself own ability.
I saw that girl being loved
By an established, smart foreign professor,
In spite of being a white skinned man,
He liked her dark complexion.
I saw her husband who never care about
Where she born or how much her father had.
He loved her soul, her personality,
Showing that negative society the light of positivity
Now that society looks at her as a star in the sky,
Who don`t know how to reach her or how to fly.
She can`t be touched;can`t be gained anymore,
Who was tortured by them before?
