18, October, 2020, 9:10:52:PM

MM Rahmatullah: Erdogan is currently the undisputed leader of the Muslim world. In recent years, Erdogan has appeared wherever Muslims have problems. His love, sympathy and cooperation towards the persecuted Muslims all over the world including Palestine, Kashmir, Myanmar continues. He is also a pro-Muslim leader in international organizations. Its popularity is growing not only in the Muslim world, but all over the world. Even in the Arab world, its popularity is growing rapidly. The results of a recent survey of Arab public opinion have revealed the opposite position of the Arab government and people regarding Turkey and President Erdogan. The poll was conducted in 13 countries in the Arab world.

Fifty-eight percent of those polled said Turkey`s policy in the Middle East was more in the Arab interest than any other. The Palestinian issue, and even Turkey`s controversial military intervention in Syria and Libya, is supported by the vast majority of Arab people.

After Turkey, the attitude of the Arabs towards the Middle East policy of China and Germany is the most positive. Fifty-five percent supported China`s policy, while 52 percent responded positively to Germany`s policy.

On the contrary, the most negative view has been expressed about America`s Middle East policy.

The survey was conducted by the ArabCenter for Research and Policy Studies in Doha and Beirut to find out the attitudes of the general Arab population on various national, regional and international issues in 13 Arab countries in Asia and Africa.

Sami Hamdi, head of International Interest, a London-based think tank on political risk, and a Middle East political analyst said that there is no doubt that President Erdogan becoming more acceptable to a large segment of the Arab population than the Turkish state.

Hamdi told BBC Bangla that there is no doubt that Turkey`s acceptance has been growing, especially among the marginalized Arab population. And the image of President Erdogan, rather than the Turkish state, is playing a major role in increasing acceptance.

According to an international index published in last February, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is the most popular Muslim leader in the world. The annual popularity index of world political leaders was released by Gallup International on Thursday.

Erdogan ranked fifth most popular leader in the world, according to the index.

The index shows German Chancellor Angelina Merkel leading with 46%, followed by French President, Emmanuel Macron at 40%, Russian President Vladimir Putin at 36%, U.S. President Donald Trump at 31% and Erdogan of Turkey at 30%.

Erdogan shares this position with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson who also scored 30%.

Within the Muslim world, Erdogan is at the top with 30% followed by Saudi King Salman at 25% and Iranian President Rouhani at 21%.

It has been noted, Recep Tayyip Erdogan is 66 years old now. He had born in February 26, 1954 at Kasımpaşa, Beyoglu, Turkey. His height is 1.85 meters.

He founded the Justice and Development Party (AKP) in 2001, leading it to election victories in 2002, 2007, and 2011 before being required to stand down upon his election as President in 2014. He is serving as the 12th President of Turkey. Previously he served as Prime Minister of Turkey from 2003 to 2014 and as Mayor of Istanbul from 1994 to 1998. He later returned to the AKP leadership in 2017 following the constitutional referendum that year. Coming from an Islamist political background and self-describing as a conservative democrat, he has promoted socially conservative and populist policies during his administration.

He married Emine Erdogan at 1978. She is also a great lady. They have 4 Children, named Ahmet Burak Erdogan, Bilal Erdogan, Sumeyye Erdogan and Esra Erdogan. They have also some Grandchildren.

Erdogan ordered the reclassification of Hagia Sophia as a mosque in July 2020 and make more popular in the Muslim World.
