CA sends mangoes to Tripura CM

300 kilograms of Haribhanga mangoes, a gift from Chief Advisor (CA) Dr. Mohammad Yunus, have been sent to the Chief Minister (CM) and relevant officials of the Indian state of Tripura as a gesture of goodwill and friendly relations.

The gift consignment was delivered to India via Akhaura Land Port in Brahmanbaria on Thursday at around 5:00 PM.

Revenue officer of customs department at Akhaura Land Port, Jahangir Alam, confirmed the incident and said that a total of 300 kilograms of famous Haribhanga mangoes from Rajshahi were sent in 60 cartons, each containing 5 kg. The mangoes were formally handed over to the BSF and Indian Customs authorities.

He further added that this gift would be delivered to the relevant representatives of the Tripura state government through the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission located at Agartala in India.

A goodwill message from the Chief Advisor was also attached with the gift.

The entire process of sending this gift was coordinated by the Protocol Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh.

Officials believe that such a humanitarian and diplomatic initiative by the government will further strengthen mutual respect, goodwill and cooperative relationship between Bangladesh and India.

It is worth noting that Bangladesh annually sends seasonal fruits as gifts to various dignitaries and state government heads in India and India reciprocates with similar gestures of goodwill.

This continuous exchange further solidifies the friendly relationship between the two neighboring countries.
