PM unveils cover of two books on Bangabandhu

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday unveiled cover of two books on the greatest Bangalee of all time, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

“The Prime Minister unveiled the cover of the two books titled “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Janak Amar Neta Amar” and “Joy Bangla” at her Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban office,” PM’s Assistant Press Secretary M M Emrul Kayas told BSS.

He said that the first book is a compilation of Sheikh Hasina’s write-ups about Bangabandhu, his family and relevant issues, while the second one is a
compilation of Bangabandhu’s interviews from 1970 to1975 and as well as his conversations.

Sheikh Hasina, eldest daughter of Bangabandhu wrote the prefix of the book titled – “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Janak Amar Neta Amar.”
The premier in the prefix of the second book said that the book is a rare gift for Bangalees marking the Birth Centenary of the Father of the Nation.
Edited by former education minister Nurul Islam Nahid, the book was published by Charulipi Prokashon.
The Prime Minister also wrote the prefix of the ‘Joy Bangla’ book.
Nurul Islam Nahid and poet and writer Pias Majid collected and edited the book.

In its prefix, Bangabahdu’s eldest daughter Sheikh Hasina said one will have to read this historic book to fully understand the life and philosophy
of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
