  Date : 26-04-2024

Staff Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that various propaganda is going on against the present government at home and abroad. But these propaganda will not be able to hinder the development of Bangladesh. Bangladesh will move forward with ashes in the face of the enemy.
The Prime Minister said this while addressing the concluding address of the 11th session of the 11th National Assembly on Tuesday noon.
Sheikh Hasina said, `No one will be homeless in Mujib`s Bengal. Already 80,000 homeless people have been given houses. One lakh more houses are under construction. These houses will be handed over on the occasion of Mujib Year and the golden jubilee of independence.

The Prime Minister mentioned, `There is so much talk about the Padma Bridge but I did such a thing with my own funds. I could not praise it. On the contrary, BNP leader Khaleda Zia said, the Padma bridge has been built with a double applause.

Already 80,000 homeless people have been given houses. One lakh more houses are under construction. These houses will be handed over on the occasion of Mujibvarsha and the golden jubilee of independence. Bangladesh can no longer be left behind.

Sheikh Hasina said, `There is so much talk about Padma Bridge but I did such a thing with my own funds. I could not praise it. On the contrary, BNP leader Khaleda Zia said, the Padma bridge has been built with a double clap. The Padma bridge is being built with patches and no one will get up. Then what will cross the river? If you have to go by boat then you have to go by boat. There is no way. You have to get on the boat. `

The Prime Minister further said, `Our boat is very big, there is no problem. We will take all the big boats, but we will see that no one sits in the boat again and the boat does not leak. `

Commenting on the lack of leadership in the BNP, the Prime Minister said, `They (BNP) now lack leadership. Those who are convicted of trying to kill me, when they are leading a party, how will that party work for the people? The people have now turned away from them.

Bangabandhu Kanya said, no matter what the BNP says, no matter what it says, such convicted fugitives do not have confidence in the leadership of a party. People have got confidence and trust from Awami League, the country is developing, the people of the country are getting welfare. Naturally, the Awami League has gained the confidence of the people. The reflection of which we saw in our local government elections.

The Prime Minister further said that people are now voting sincerely. We are voting through EVM. There is no chance of vote rigging. He can give his vote to anyone. Now that `ten Honda twenty thugs election cold` method is no more. Or when he went to vote, he saw that voting was not done. However, in the mayoral election, there has been a commotion among the commissioners in some of our places. They are different.

As per custom, the Leader of the Opposition spoke before the closing remarks of the Leader of the House. Leader of the Opposition Raushan Ershad and Deputy Leader of the Opposition GM Quader were not seen in the session. Although GM Quader is affected by corona, he is now corona free.

Highlighting the absence of the Leader of the Opposition in her concluding address, Sheikh Hasina said, “This session is going on at the time of coronation. For which it may not be possible to bring all the MPs at the same time. Our Leader of the Opposition was supposed to come here. But he did not come here thinking about the people as corona was found in the body of a person in his house. I am sorry that we did not listen to his speech, but thank him for his benevolent concern for the people. He would have been better if we had listened to him. `

The Prime Minister said that the educational institutions will be reopened as soon as the coronavirus comes under control.
