If it weren`t for Dhaka University, East Pakistan and Bangladesh wouldn`t exist: Muslim League
  Date : 26-04-2024

Staff Correspondent: On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Dhaka University, known as Oxford in the East, all the faculty and staff associated with the university are being felicitated. League leaders. In a joint statement, party president Ed Badruddoza Suja, secretary general Kazi Abul Khaire, Norwegian president Abdul Aziz Hawlader, standing committee members Atkiul Islam and Anwar Hossain Abri said that the party is in a state of disarray in the Indian National Congress. On 12 December 1911, Dhaka Kandreki was compelled to report to East Bengal and Assam. In order to appease the angry Muslims in East Bengal after the partition of Bengal, the Viceroy of India, Lord Rhadanji, in response to the demand of Nawab Salmullah, announced the establishment of a university in Dhaka on 31 December 1911. Shortly after this announcement, the racist Hindu Natora of Bengal, in pursuit of social hegemony and with the nefarious intention of depriving the Muslims of higher education, turned against the establishment of Dhaka University.

Proposal Nawab Salmullah will donate about two hundred bags of land for Dhaka University. After the mysterious death of Nawab Salmullah in Kolkata on January 17, 1915, the future of the University of Bengal became uncertain due to the opposition of the British government to the non-existent Talbahana and Rban Hindu Natodar. As a result of the indefatigable and untiring efforts of AK Fazlul Haque, a young lawyer, the activities at Dhaka University were started on 1st July 1921 in a limited area. In this educational establishment, the students are involved in all the movements including partition of India in 1947, language movement in 1952, mass uprising in 1969, anti-autonomy movement in Bangladesh in 1990. The contribution of Dhaka University in the history of culture and politics is undeniable. In a word, if Dhaka University had not been established, it would not have been in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Leaders on the occasion of the centenary of the establishment of the University of Dhaka, Professor. Md. Akhtaruzzaman expressed his dissatisfaction over the fact that he did not mention the name of the protagonist in the script of the establishment of the university in Padatta Bani. Without remembering him in a good word, Mr. Upcharcha is hurting every conscious person including the former and current students in the establishment.
