CMP deputy commissioner Mizanur Rahman dies of Covid-19

Ctg Correspondent: Mizanur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP), died of coronavirus at a hospital in the capital on Monday morning. He breathed his last at around 4:00 am at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Central Police Hospital in Rajarbagh while undergoing treatment. Mirza Sayem Mahmud, additional deputy commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police, confirmed the news.

Mizanur Rahman, who was working in the Detective Branch (South) of CMP, had been undergoing treatment at the hospital since June 28 after being infected with coronavirus, he said. Mahbubur Rahman, commissioner of CMP, expressed deep shock at the sudden demise of Mizan. With the death of Mizan, five members of CMP have died from the deadly virus infection so far.
