Dengue: 10 more die, 1,357 hospitalised in 24 hours

At least 10 more dengue patients died while 1,357 others were hospitalised in 24 hours till 8 am today (November 3), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 6,267 dengue patients were admitted in and out of Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

Besides, this year a total of 1,380 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

A total of 276,163 were infected by the Dengue virus this year.

As many as 268,516 Dengue patients recovered this year.

According to DGHS, 1,768 patients are now undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 4,499 patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Last year, a total of 281 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh. However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered last year.
