Action against those behind Hamid’s escape after probe: Home adviser

Desk Report : Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has announced that legal action will be taken against all of those involved in the escape of former President Abdul Hamid after investigation.

Jahangir said this in reply to a question from the journalists after inspecting the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday afternoon, May 10.

An investigation committee has been formed over Abdul Hamid`s departure and asked it to submit report within three working days, he said, adding that after receiving the report, legal measures would be taken against those involved in the act.

When asked about there was a ban from Police`s Special Branch (SB) before Hamid`s escape, the home adviser replied he has no knowledge in this regard.
