Bangladesh reports Covid-19 link one death, 73 cases in 24 hrs

Bangladesh reported one Covid-19-linked death 73 cases in the last 24 hours till today (Feb 22) morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With the new numbers, the country`s total fatalities rose to 29,486 and caseload to 20, 48,116, said the DGHS.

The DGHS disclosed the update on the country’s coronavirus situation, issuing a press release this afternoon.

A total of 717 samples were tested across the country, for a positivity rate of 10.18 percent.

According to the release, the total number of recoveries till today reached 4, 23,632.

Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus case on March 8, 2020, while its first death was on March 18 that year.
