Father, son killed as trolley rams motorcycle in Satkhira

A father and his son were killed after a trolley rammed their bike on the Kadamtola-Baikari regional highway in Satkhira sadar upazila on Thursday night.

The deceased were identified as Md hafizur Rahman Bulu, 65, and his son Md Abdul Aziz, 25, residents of Baikari village under the upazila.

According to the witnesses, the accident occurred when the duo was returning home from Dhaka on a motorcycle. On the way, a speeding shallow-engine run trolley rammed their bike around 10.30pm from opposite direction, leaving the father and son dead on the spot.

Satkhira Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge Mohidul Islam said being informed, police recovered the body from the spot and sent to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Later, the bodies were handed over to the family members upon their request, added the OC.
