Missing BGB member`s body found in Bay

The body of a BGB member, who went missing while rescuing Rohingyas in the sea in Cox`s Bazar, was recovered from the Bay of Bengal on Sunday morning.

Deceased, Mohammad Belal was posted as a soldier at an outpost along the Shah Porir Dwip border in Sabranj union of Teknaf upazila.

BGB members found him in floating condition in the sea approximately 12:30PM on Sunday.

A rifle and four rounds of bullets with him were still missing, said Teknaf Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sheikh Ahsan Uddin.

A boat carrying Rohingyas capsized in the sea early Saturday while trying to intrude into Bangladesh from Myanmar.

Being informed, the BGB rescued 24 of them and BGB member Belal went missing.
