  Date : 04-11-2025

Kamrul Hasan : Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Habu, former Organizing Secretary of Manikganj District BNP and a member of the district convening committee, has extended his warm greetings and heartfelt congratulations to the uncompromising leader, BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, and the worthy successor of martyred President Ziaur Rahman — Deshnayak Tarique Rahman, Acting Chairman of BNP. He also conveyed his congratulations to BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and the central policymakers for nominating Afroza Khanam Rita, a member of the BNP Chairperson’s Advisory Council and Convener of Manikganj District BNP, as the party’s candidate for Manikganj-3 constituency.

Afroza Khanam Rita, the worthy successor of late minister and former MP Harunar Rashid Khan Monno, has been nominated as the BNP candidate for Manikganj-3 — a decision Habu Bhuiyan praised as a reflection of farsighted and prudent leadership.

In an exclusive interview with The Muslim Times on Monday night, Habu Bhuiyan expressed his congratulations, saying that if the 31-point State Reform Outline announced by Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is implemented, Bangladesh will become a developed and prosperous nation. He emphasized the need to rise above all divisions and work shoulder to shoulder to ensure the victory of the sheaf of paddy (BNP’s electoral symbol) for the welfare of the nation.

He said, “If the BNP forms the next government, Deshnayak Tarique Rahman will become the Prime Minister — only then will the dream of martyred President Ziaur Rahman be truly realized.”

Speaking about Afroza Khanam Rita, he added, “For the last 17 years, her contribution to BNP politics in Manikganj has been unparalleled. Therefore, in the upcoming election, she must be elected by a large margin to honor her dedication and leadership. We must ensure the victory of the sheaf of paddy in every constituency of Manikganj — a historic stronghold of BNP — to build the district as a modern, prosperous, and developed region.”

He also urged all party leaders, activists, supporters, and socially conscious citizens to unite beyond all divisions, adversities, and conspiracies to build public consensus for the welfare of the nation. He prayed for the speedy recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia, and the good health and long life of Deshnayak Tarique Rahman, seeking everyone’s prayers for the peace and prosperity of Bangladesh.

It is worth mentioning that on Monday evening, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the list of 237 nominated candidates for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election at a press conference.
